What information this website collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Written in plain English.

Who I am

Aman Web Designs is a web design and development business run by Aman Ahmed, based in Pakistan. In this policy, "I", "me" and "Aman Web Designs" mean the same thing.

If you have any question about your information, email info@amanwebdesigns.com.

What I collect

Information you send me. When you use a form on this website, I receive what you enter: your name, email address, current website (if you add one), budget range (if you choose one) and your message. If you email me or message me on WhatsApp, I receive what you send there.

Technical information. Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps standard logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used to keep the site secure and working.

I do not ask for payment details on this website.

How I use it

I use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare your website plan and quote, deliver a project if you go ahead, and send invoices and project updates.

I do not add you to a newsletter, sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Legal basis

If you are in the UK or EU, I rely on these legal bases: taking steps you asked for before a contract (replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote), performing a contract (delivering your project), legitimate interests (keeping the website secure and understanding how it is used) and legal obligations (keeping financial records).

Who else handles it

A few services help run this website and my business, and only receive what they need to do their job:

Website hosting and email: the hosting provider stores this website and delivers form messages to my inbox.
Code libraries: animation scripts are loaded from the jsDelivr network, which receives your IP address so it can deliver the files.
WhatsApp: if you choose to message me there, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies.
Google Analytics: measures how the website is used (see "Cookies and analytics").
Invoicing: if you become a client, invoices are sent through a secure online payment provider.

Fonts on this website are served from this website's own server, not from Google.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site: for example, which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are from, and whether a form was sent or a contact link was clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. It does not tell me who you are, and I never send it the details you type into a form.

If you are in the UK, EU or Switzerland, Google Analytics runs without cookies, so nothing is stored on your device. Google then only receives basic, cookieless signals (such as a page being viewed), which can't be used to recognise you.

This website does not use advertising cookies, and analytics data is not used for ads. Google's own use of the data is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also block Google Analytics in any browser with an ad or tracker blocker.

If you log in to the website admin, WordPress sets cookies needed for that. Visitors who don't log in are not affected.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into a project are deleted when they are no longer needed to follow up. Client project records and invoices are kept for as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements.

You can ask me to delete your information at any time (see "Your rights").

International transfers

I am based in Pakistan and work with clients around the world, so your information is handled in Pakistan and by service providers that may store data in other countries. I only use established providers and keep access to your information limited to what's needed.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email info@amanwebdesigns.com and I'll respond within 30 days.

If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

Children

This website and my services are intended for businesses and adults. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle information, I'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
